Stats and numbers

  • Gnomonkey compares the toxic blowpipe with +30 ranged accuracy and +20 ranged strength to the rosewood blowpipe's +22 accuracy (minus eight) and +6 ranged strength (minus 14).1

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says this could be bad in some cases, because the rosewood pipe was mostly used on Doom of Mokhaiotl with the same spec as dragon knives and adamant darts, and now the same spec damage would need rune darts.1
  • Gnomonkey feels the change may be an overall viability nerf, since for the one thing it is good at players now need better darts for the same outcome, and he does not see people spamming rune darts.2
  • Gnomonkey considers the Rosewood blowpipe change objectively a nerf, saying the only use it had was a good special attack with adamant darts at Mocha, which now needs rune darts for the same damage; he says players will never really use it, and notes Reddit asked for the change.3

Events

  • The rosewood blowpipe can now use darts up to rune instead of its current cap of adamant, while the 10% bonus damage on its double shot rapid burst special attack is removed to compensate.4
  • The Rosewood blowpipe can now fire darts up to rune in the Summer Sweep-up, and in exchange its special attack no longer grants +10% increased damage and -20% decreased accuracy.3
