Requirements

Methods

  • The escape method uses a lockpick: the room just north of the resource area needs a lockpick to enter and is full of weak ents-type enemies; the player attacks one, brews their stats down, waits about 10 seconds and then X-logs (force closes the client) so the character keeps attacking and then logs out.3

Tips

  • Some players bring a Zamorak godsword instead of the bulwark with the special attack primed, so when player killers attack they can auto-retaliate and freeze them for 20 seconds to escape, but this risks being spec'd out by dragon claws or an AGS.7
  • Quick prayers should include Protect from Magic, since the main danger is being frozen and killed by mages because dark crab fishing uses brews that reduce Magic and so defence; Augury gives 25% regular and 25% magic defence, and Piety works if Augury is not unlocked.8
  • Dark crab inventory: a lobster pot and dark fishing bait (about 4 GP each on the Grand Exchange), a knife to cut the web to the resource area, coins to note the crabs, and some extra coins if using Rada's Blessing since extra crabs come at no bait cost.9
