Stats and numbers

  • Vindication, when you are reduced below 10% of your max HP without taking lethal damage, heals you for 15% of your prayer level, takes 100% of your remaining prayer points and grants a 10% bonus damage on your next attack.1
  • Vindication heals 15% of prayer level instead of Redemption's 25%, which Gnomonkey calculates as 18 instead of 24 HP.1
  • Vindication's reduced health does not prevent Vespula or Tyrope skips as people thought, but if you were 10 or lower HP at Vespula you need to brew to prevent chancing, and a Tyrope skip now always requires brewing when going to Crystal.2
  • A 3 HP skip is guaranteed death, so there is a 1 in 6 chance the run is bricked.2

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says Vindication is the prayer he wanted added most, since it was his suggestion in his earlier video and encourages proccing Redemption repeatedly at the cost of prayer points.1
  • Gnomonkey says healing 18 would make Vindication unusable for Vespula and the tightrope skip in Challenge Mode Chambers of Xeric, and suggests giving it the exact same healing as Redemption plus the damage buff.3
  • Gnomonkey says Locator Orb spam makes Vindication's damage buff very broken, and the meta would become taking a Locator Orb everywhere for damage.4
  • Gnomonkey would prefer Vindication heal the same amount as regular Redemption and give an accuracy buff instead of a damage buff, making it useful but not enough to Locator spam for.5

Events

  • Vindication was Gnomonkey's own suggestion that made it into the beta prayer book.4
