Stats and numbers

  • Sapphire bolts (e) restore prayer equal to 1/20th of the attacker's current Ranged stat; he quotes a 5% proc in PvP and 25% in PvM and says he gets about six prayer points on a proc every four shots on a ranger.1
  • Gnomonkey observes that Sapphire bolts (e) have a one in four proc and restore three prayer points per proc when shooting rangers (Jal-Xil).2
  • The prayer restored by Sapphire bolts (e) is based on the target's Ranged level: rangers with 250 Ranged give three prayer points per proc, while targets with low Ranged give almost none.3
  • He gets about two prayer points per proc off the melee monsters and around six or seven off the mager, and says the amount seems to depend on the monster's own level.4
  • At 99 Ranged a proc gives two prayer points against low-level targets, and estimates TzTok-Jad's Ranged level at about 1020, which should give around 15 prayer points per proc.5
  • On the TzTok-Jad wave, a Sapphire bolt (e) proc gives Gnomonkey roughly 16 prayer points, which he describes as not quite as crazy as hoped but completely unlimited prayer.6

Tips

  • Gnomonkey brings Sapphire bolts (e) to the Inferno specifically to restore prayer instead of bringing prayer potions.1
  • He says that as long as rangers are in play, Sapphire bolts (e) give effectively unlimited prayer.7

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey jokes that a nerf to Sapphire bolts (e) is incoming and says some Redditor will cheese Inferno with them, but he would never use them in the main game.8
