Requirements

  • The Rogue's outfit is required for the elf thieving money-maker, which Gnomonkey calls the highest gp-earning skilling method in the game.1
  • The Rogue's outfit is obtained from the Rogues' Den maze, which requires 50 Agility and 50 Thieving.1

Methods

  • At the end of the maze are wall safes, and cracking any one has a chance to give a Rogue's equipment crate, which lets you choose a Rogue's outfit piece; there are five pieces.2

Stats and numbers

  • The Rogue's outfit doubles all loot from pickpocketing; for example an enhanced crystal teleport seed from an elf becomes two seeds.3
  • When stealing coins with the Rogue's outfit you do not get two coin pouches but the equivalent in loose coins on top of the coin pouch.3
  • Getting the Rogue's outfit earns an extra 7.5 million gp in total if you pickpocket Ardougne Knights to 99 Thieving.3
  • Safe cracking seems to have about a 50% failure chance that does not seem affected by level; Gnomonkey failed twice with over 90 Agility and 99 Thieving, which sends you back to the start with no reward.4
  • The maze takes about four minutes by the long route, so you can expect to get the outfit in a little under an hour.4

Tips

  • Not to choose a rogue kit from the crate, as it can only be turned into a rope, chisel, tinderbox or spade.2

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey recommends getting the Rogue's outfit immediately after reaching level 50 Thieving.3
  • Gnomonkey says the only reason not to get the Rogue's outfit is if you are not pickpocketing to 99, since it does nothing at places like the Pyramid Plunder or Sorceress's Garden; otherwise get it at level 50 Thieving.5
