Contents

Requirements

  • Zygomites are unlocked at 57 Slayer and are incredibly easy, not requiring a high combat level.1

Methods

  • To reach them, take a fairy ring to Xanadu (the transcript's Xanarus) and run straight north to a little circle of five mushrooms.2
  • To fight them, click a mushroom to uproot it and then attack it; below 10% health use fungicide spray on it, or if the shroom sprayer unlock is owned it kills them automatically.2

Stats and numbers

  • Zygomites are Duradel's rarest task, tied with rune and adamant dragons and water fiends.1
  • Duradel only assigns 20 to 30 mutated zygomites, so the task is over in about 10 minutes.3

Tips

  • Zygomites mostly drop only nature runes, cannot drop clue scrolls, and also drop ashes, so a bone crusher is not needed.1
  • Gear does not matter much since the task lasts a few minutes regardless; Gnomonkey brings a Slayer helmet or black mask and his best melee gear, and says they can also be ranged or magic'd easily.4
  • Zygomites use magic melee and magic ranged attacks, so melee users want some food just in case.5
  • Gnomonkey runs around in a circle killing them and picks up drops after a second rotation to be more efficient.2

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says zygomites are one of the shortest tasks in the game and worth doing just for the Slayer points, with pitiful drops and only around 15k Slayer XP an hour.1
