Methods

  • The wiki's low-drain Corp setup says to use three warhammer specs and four to six Arclight specs before equipping it, aiming to bring Corp's defence to 1.1
  • Arclight drains Corp's strength, attack and defence, while a Bandos godsword drains defence, so he alternates the two and goes back to BGS to drain Corp's mage.2

Stats and numbers

  • The Corporeal Beast pet is 1 in 5,000, kills are super slow, and you pretty much have to boost it, making it an expensive gp sink.3
  • In the low-drain setup Gnomonkey did about 427 damage on one inventory of food, which he estimates is about 10% of Corp's health, and says one inventory of food is about 15% of his health.4
  • Gnomonkey reads Corp's stomp as happening on seven tick intervals, so there is no guarantee you can step under him in time.5
  • Even after death piling 180 food Gnomonkey says he did not have enough, and he estimates the low-drain Corp kill needs about 300 food with nobody ragging.6
  • The wiki's alternative Corp setup Gnomonkey tries costs about 35 million gp, which he reduces to about 33 million with a Blood fury, then further to around 16 million.7
  • Corp at zero defence is almost never missed, and Corp at zero melee stats means the next goal is to BGS repeatedly to drain mage.8

Tips

  • The wiki's Corp setup lists spec downgrades from Arclight to Bandos godsword to Osmumten's fang, which Gnomonkey mocks as irrelevant.1
  • Corp heals when you leave the room, so Gnomonkey says repeatedly leaving and re-entering to flinch him would not work.9
  • Corp randomly moves, so a death pile can end up out of position and the boss gets farther from the pile over time.10
  • A hammer would make the kill much faster even in the crappy setup, so an early attempt for a shield is not the worst idea.11

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey rates the Corporeal Beast pet lower A (a big spiky dog-looking thing), better than the Penance Queen pet.3
  • Gnomonkey calls Corporeal Beast so bad it cannot go anywhere but F: drain all its defence and hit it with a spear, with groups slightly more interesting because you drain it less before fighting.12
  • Gnomonkey says the most interesting Corporeal Beast mechanic is walking back and forth on the dark core, but everyone just freezes it in place; he rates it a higher F tier.13
  • Gnomonkey says the wiki's low stat drain Corporeal Beast setup is genuinely not possible and is the funniest setup in the series, though he tries it anyway.14
  • Gnomonkey says Corp is such a bad boss, and notes the mods have talked about adding a Phosani's-style Corp at some point.15
