Stats and numbers

  • Gnomonkey calculates, assuming his maths is right, that the partisan is dramatically better than Scythe on Kalphite Queen: at one hammer it should be 100% accurate on task, making it already better than a two-hammer Scythe with no hammers landed.1
  • Kalphite Queen would be decimated by Keris partisan of breaching on phase 1 plus Shadow of Tumeken on phase 2, for roughly a 20% total DPS increase with the Raids 3 items.2
  • The Keris Partisan has a 15% damage bonus against scarabs and the ability to crit, with a max hit of 150 shown in Gearscape, making it much better on Kephri than on Baba.3

Tips

  • The black gem does not let you skip the Zamorakian hasta because you still need to get a black gem; Gnomonkey recommends doing your Tormented Demon grind to get a Scobo (as transcribed) and then killing some 6-0 Zammy to get a Zamorakian hasta, which is a very common early drop.4
  • On Kephri, the Keris Partisan is the best DPS weapon against every scarab, and Gnomonkey says you can still throw the Atlatl while running up to a scarab before switching.5

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey expects the accuracy increase to see players bring Torva instead of Inquisitor's because the hammer hit is less impactful: Torva is barely worse at zero hammers and much better at one hammer plus, and it allows claws, boosted by Torva, to be used after one hammer like at Sire.2
  • Gnomonkey considers the black Keris Partisan a good option for an Ironman until you have an Osmumten's fang, and the second best option until then.6
  • Gnomonkey says the black Keris Partisan hits very well on Baba and would be very similar in kill time to a Zamorakian hasta.7
  • Gnomonkey says you do not need a yellow-gem (healing) Keris Partisan to do a 300 raid, and recommends not bringing one if you get it early because it wastes your special attack bar; it only becomes useful at very high raid levels.8

Events

  • The poll blog adds a Breach of the Scarab upgrade for the Keris partisan, giving it a 33% accuracy multiplier against Kalphite fights.1
  • The Tombs of Amascut update added a fourth gem drop, a black gem that can be added to the Keris Partisan for extra stab bonus and stats; Gnomonkey got the black Keris Partisan in his previous raid, and notes in the description that it is typically about 5% better than a Zamorakian hasta but only great until you get an Osmumten's fang, and that you can push up to 400s now.9
