Justiciar armour is an item topic that Gnomonkey covers in 2 videos between 2021-05-21 and 2024-05-13. This article is a stub: his statements are grouped by type, repeated ones merged.

Tips

  • The purpose of Justiciar is not to wear it constantly but to escape sticky situations by slapping it on and running south while praying magic; brute-forcing and tanking everything turns the waves into an RNG fest.1
  • Do not use Justiciar armour until the waves with mages, since you pray ranged against rangers and Justiciar has negative magic defence.2
  • On wave 48 with a bad spawn, pray Rigor, put on Justiciar and chug brew as you run south, without going near the mage's melee distance.3
  • Gnomonkey calculates Justiciar armour drops Vardorvis's accuracy from hitting you 91% of the time to 70%, and also reduces the damage you take.4

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey used Justiciar for his first cape and does not regret it, but if you plan to grind the pet and do every Inferno task he recommends not taking it and properly learning the caves.1
  • Gnomonkey says you will get the cape faster using Justiciar as a tool, since you get through the waves more consistently; if your goal is just to get the cape and be done, he recommends using it.5
  • Gnomonkey says Justiciar might be underrated at Vardorvis, perhaps allowing a kill or two more per trip if you play perfectly.4
