Stats and numbers

  • At the time of the video the Inquisitor's mace was worth about 950 million gp.1
  • At The Nightmare the Inquisitor's mace alone is about a 5% DPS increase over a bludgeon, and with the full Inquisitor's set the difference rises to 12.5%.2
  • The OSRS Wiki's Vardorvis page notes the Inquisitor's mace slightly surpasses the abyssal tentacle when wearing full Inquisitor's armour.3
  • The Summer Sweep-up buffed many Inquisitor's pieces; the Inquisitor's mace gained 7 strength and 7 crush accuracy and still benefits from the Inquisitor's set boost.4

Tips

  • The best gear for soloing The Nightmare, if you can afford it, is the full Inquisitor's set with the Inquisitor's mace.5

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says notes like that on the wiki are accurate because someone calculated them, but they are given without context about who the setup is relevant to.6
  • Gnomonkey says he expects the Inquisitor's mace to be slightly better still when its upcoming buff arrives.7
  • Gnomonkey notes that bringing full Inquisitor's into the Tombs of Amascut is not the play, and asks who the wiki's Inquisitor's note is relevant to.8
  • Gnomonkey says the Inquisitor's mace is now officially the strongest of the buffed weapons (compared with the rapier and the Blade of Saeldor) on neutral styles, which he considers fair because it is rarer and drops from Phosani's Nightmare.4

Records

  • In the bonus kill with full Inquisitor's and the Inquisitor's mace on Vardorvis, Gnomonkey's kill took around 140 seconds, which he says is slightly better than a tentacle whip.8
