Stats and numbers

  • The update dropped Echo boss defences dramatically: Echo Moxie's ranged defence went from 200 to 40, Echo Thermonuclear smoke devil's from 900 to 90, and Echo Dagannoth Kings' from 255 to 100.1
  • The first, second and third Echo boss killed each gave one reset point, for up to three total.1
  • In the Echo Moxie fight, a crossbow build works really well since players get two-tick attack speed at the end of the fight regardless of weapon.2

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says the Echo bosses are a great way to get PvMers more interested in Leagues 5, and that Echo Sol and Echo Corrupted Gauntlet are geared toward players with a lot of PvM experience.3
  • Gnomonkey says he wishes Jagex added mechanics to Echo items rather than just cranking the stats and making them buffed versions of existing items, and calls the Echo weapons 'eh' and himself slightly disappointed with relics and combats.4
  • Gnomonkey says Echo Sol was removed as the main Grandmaster-style Echo boss and replaced with Echo Moxie, which makes sense because the first area needs an easier Echo boss.5
