Echo Sol is a boss topic that Gnomonkey covers in 2 videos between 2024-11-28 and 2024-11-30. This article is a stub: his statements are grouped by type, repeated ones merged.

Methods

  • Gnomonkey's 1 HP Dharok bomb setup for Echo Sol in Leagues 5 is Ultor ring, Asgarnia boots, the Gloves of the Damned (which double Dharok's damage), full Dharok's, Rancor and an Inferno cape, which he calls basically max for his regions except for the Primordial boots.1

Stats and numbers

  • In Leagues 5 you skip the Colosseum waves for Echo Sol, jumping straight into the fight, which Gnomonkey says he is glad about.2
  • 1692 is the theoretical maximum hit on Echo Sol with all echoes, Piety and Last Stand active, and describes it as basically a 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 chance.1
  • Gnomonkey's first hit on Echo Sol with the 1 HP Dharok build was 126, with the next 147; he notes 147 as the max Dharok hit, and 213 as his biggest hit in Leagues at that point.3
  • Echo Sol's special attack heals are not triggered by Dharok's hits since Jagex made Dharok not trigger heals, which Gnomonkey says he is really glad about; the specs heal him, which he notes to keep in mind.4

Tips

  • Dharok's set is 100% the best DPS on Echo Sol at roughly 60 DPS, and that the DPS totems stack, so he tried to see how far he could get without tagging totems.5
  • Gnomonkey considers it possible to skip the last parts of the Echo Sol fight from about 25% health and finish with Dharok's hits, trying it as a method to get faster kills.6
  • Gnomonkey found that waiting to see the hitsplats and react, dropping a tick rather than starting to attack immediately, avoids getting hit by Echo Sol's attacks, saying 'it's not worth it' to risk the tick.7
  • Gnomonkey found that he can reach 1 HP for the build by saving the recall orb at 1 HP, so that clicking the orb puts him at 1 HP every time because this league's recall orb remembers your stats.8

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says he was not happy to hear that Jagex did not add much to the Echo Sol fight but thinks it will be fun and has some difficulty to it, and he was very excited to try 1 HP Dharok strategies on it.2
  • Gnomonkey says Echo Sol has some RNG and DPS checks that he is not typically a fan of, but understands they exist so that people cannot come to the fight in rags and destroy it.9
  • Gnomonkey says the random attacks during the Echo Sol fight are brutal and killed him multiple times, including once when he misjudged which tile he was standing on.10

Records

  • Gnomonkey claims the world first Echo Sol kill in Leagues 5, done on a melee account using tier 6 melee relics, noting this is not an Echo boss in the usual sense but the Raging Echo of Sol Heredit.2
  • Gnomonkey killed Echo Sol with the 1 HP Dharok bomb build in 1 minute 4 seconds, receiving a Sunfire chestplate.11
  • Gnomonkey set a personal best Echo Sol kill time of 54 seconds with the 1 HP Dharok bomb, helped by an echo hit on the grapple.12

Events

  • Gnomonkey won the Echo Sol fight with 14 health and no food left after a very tight ending, and said it gets very intense at the end.13
