- Gnomonkey reads that Demon Bane spells have an accuracy bonus of 20% with the Mark of Darkness spell active, and the accuracy bonus is increased to 40% with the player additionally gaining a 25% damage bonus.1

Gnomonkey's opinion
- Gnomonkey says Demon Bane is so bad that it seems like it was designed never to be used, speculating that Jagex did not want to power creep Shadow at K'ril; he says manually casting Demon Bane with Shadow would be overpowered.3
- Gnomonkey says Gearscape will not choose Demon Bane for K'ril even when he tries to force it, which he takes as proof of how bad the spell is.4
