- Vampyre thieving gives rare blood shards used to make the Blood fury; because the Blood fury was pretty bad at the time, shards sat at only about 6.5M and are 5 times rarer than crystal seeds from elves.1

Gnomonkey's opinion
- Gnomonkey says that if Jagex buffs the Blood fury (which was being discussed) and shards hit around 12M, vampyre thieving could equal or beat elves, and advises checking prices of both before choosing.3
- Gnomonkey unlocked vampyres recently: an extremely AFK task for melee combat XP of upwards of 80k an hour, with solid GP of about 1.5m an hour, no prayer potion cost, but only about 20k Slayer XP an hour.2
