Methods
- Black chinchompas can be hunted from level 73 Hunter and are found just south of the canoe, just above level 30 Wilderness.1
- Bring a quick ranged weapon to tag chinchompas that run off, such as a magic shortbow or hunter's crossbow; Gnomonkey found darts really good because they are so fast you can use them between resetting traps and waste no ticks.2
- Gnomonkey's black chinchompa gear: a Mage Arena 1 cape, Verac's helm, black d'hide, Barrows gloves and mystic boots, with an ancient staff switch and Dinh's bulwark in the inventory.3
- Gnomonkey's black chinchompa inventory includes six box traps, a few anglerfish, a pile of brews, around four restores, flowers for the hobgoblin x-log, stamina potions and anti-venom.3

Stats and numbers

Tips
- Black chinchompas are not in multi-combat and are only a few steps from level 30 Wilderness where you can teleport away; if you get tele-blocked you can run west to the hobgoblins and x-log.5
- People often use a toxic staff of the dead to venom you at black chinchompas; Gnomonkey brings a trash axe for the canoe, a gnome seed pod to teleport at level 30 Wilderness (or a glory), and house tabs to resupply.6
- Gnomonkey typically banks after collecting about 500 chinchompas, though he says you could likely catch thousands safely.7
Gnomonkey's opinion
- Gnomonkey says black chinchompas are the best money a hunter can make and also the fastest XP if you tick manipulate all the way to 99.1
- Gnomonkey says he does not claim the best method for chinchompas and you can get better rates if you are sweaty about it; he found tick manipulation not really worth it here without an ultimate ironman to shoot chinchompas for you.8
Trivia
- On 2200 total worlds, Gnomonkey only encountered PKers every couple of hours while hunting black chinchompas; on other worlds PKers are more common but typically wear salad robes or mystic and cannot really kill you.5
