Teak trees is an activity topic that Gnomonkey covers in 1 video on 2020-07-31. This article is a stub: his statements are grouped by type, repeated ones merged.
Methods
- From level 35 to 65 (or even 99) you can chop teak trees, on Ape Atoll, or in the northeastern part of Prifddinas if Song of the Elves is done, where they also occasionally give crystal shards.1
- Two-ticking teaks is twice as fast as AFK chopping because it halves the time between chances at logs; you stack two enemies (birds at Ape Atoll, rabbits at Prifddinas) that attack every other tick.1
- To two-tick teaks you lure an enemy without killing it using a spell like Wind Strike, wield a shortbow and rapid with no ammo, then click the tree, then the ground, so your character auto-retaliates without attacking; when the inventory is full, drop a log instead of clicking the ground.1
Stats and numbers
- AFK chopping teaks gives around 60k XP an hour.1
Tips
- Gnomonkey recommends installing the left-click dropper external plugin to make dropping teak logs easier when two-ticking.1
- If simply AFKing, Gnomonkey says not to chop teaks beyond level 65; it takes 5,024 successful chops to reach level 65.2
Gnomonkey's opinion
- Gnomonkey calls two-ticking one of the easiest tick manipulation methods in the game and says it is faster and easier than three-ticking, which he would never recommend.1
- Gnomonkey says two-ticking teaks is the fastest realistic Woodcutting method all the way to 99 if you want the skill done as soon as possible.1
- Gnomonkey does not recommend 1.5-ticking on Fossil Island, since it is very intensive and difficult for only 25% more XP, and he would only do it to level 65.1
