Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey definitely plans on giving RS3 Leagues 2 a shot.1
  • Gnomonkey says Jagex showed little about how Leagues VI will work gameplay-wise but hinted at slight deviations from past Leagues.2
  • Gnomonkey thinks the Leagues VI rewards might be the strongest he has seen from Leagues.3
  • Gnomonkey says he likes Leagues a lot and has fun with it, but argues that if a temporary game mode is cited as a reason to raise membership then Jagex should not have done it, since it does not affect the long-term health of the game.4
  • Gnomonkey says many players were bummed that Leagues was on the roadmap because it is a temporary mode, and that if modes like Leagues or Deadman require more staff and funding that drives price increases, Jagex should hold off on them.5

Events

  • RuneScape 3 announced a second Leagues, with Jagex saying they know the mistakes made in the first Leagues, which Gnomonkey describes as very slow; they are looking at quest unlocks and similar improvements.6
  • Leagues VI (Demonic Pacts) is coming in April, with a 666 theme featuring Yama, and players start in Yama's layer.2

Trivia

  • Leagues VI rewards include an outfit, a banner with flames and Yama, a teleport animation where imps drag you down into hell, Demonic Thrones, Thrall reskins, trident and staff reskins, the Soul Reaper axe (Yama's axe), Oathplate and Slayer helmet skins, a Radiant Slayer helmet skin and a reskinned Demon Butler.7
