Methods

  • To start the 3-0 mage hand method, Gnomonkey goes to the middle of the room, drops a brew, summons a mage thrall and hammers, forcing Olm to turn his head to the side.1
  • Gnomonkey opens each Olm phase by hammering the melee hand, swapping to mage, running to the mage hand and casting, then running along to a tile out of line of sight as Olm turns, which avoids all damage.2
  • 3-0 maging is called that because you get three hits in per cycle while taking zero of Olm's attacks.3

Stats and numbers

  • There is a one in four chance that his thrall never hits a number and he splashes, in which case Olm may turn mid-cycle and you tank one hit.4

Tips

  • Olm has a four-tick attack cycle, and the 3-0 cycle is tick-perfect: Olm can never hit you because you can move and attack on the same tick when you get dragged, which is why the weapon must be on accurate.5
