Kick is an other topic that Gnomonkey covers in 1 video on 2024-03-02. This article is a stub: his statements are grouped by type, repeated ones merged.

Tips

  • The 7TV emote extension was buggy on Kick, with bugs that had cropped up the day before and that 7TV said they were working on; he got it working through the 7TV command.1
  • 7TV on Kick is set up via the extension's onboarding page, where you choose which platforms to connect, select Kick, and go through the whole flow; he says it is in beta and buggy.2

Events

  • At the start of this Kick stream, Gnomonkey says the first 25 subs get founder badges and that they are running out very fast.3
  • The one thing Kick has differently from Twitch is that it has no channel points, so he planned to let subs request things like wearing a hat in game.4
  • Gnomonkey agreed on sub-based redeems for his Kick chat, with three subs for hats (as transcribed), and noted the prices of those redeems had gone up quite a bit.5
  • Hoshi gifted 50 subscriptions to Gnomonkey's community on Kick, which broke the activity feed, and a viewer named ABZ later gifted 100 subs.6
  • Gnomonkey said that viewers who missed out on founder badges would be given OG badges instead so they would get something.7
  • The 7TV emote list button is missing because of a bug reported the day before; typing a colon followed by the emote name still works.8
  • Twelve hour streams are not planned quite yet, but his Kick streams are going to be longer in general.9
  • His Kick streaming schedule is 5 p.m. to about 1 a.m. PST, and that he is only taking Mondays off.10
