Requirements
- Kurask require 70 Slayer to attack, and need leaf-bladed weaponry, broad ammunition or a Slayer's staff with the Slayer spell to damage.1
Stats and numbers
- Kurask give about 35k Slayer XP an hour and roughly 1.3 million gp an hour in total loot on average.1
- The leaf-bladed battleaxe is the optimal weapon against Kurask and is only about 20% less DPS than a whip.1
- Kurask have a fairly low weight of 4 from Duradel, so it is a pretty uncommon task.1
- Kurask have a superior, King Kurask, which is just a harder Kurask; Gnomonkey uses protect from melee against its devastating melee attacks and otherwise fights it like a regular Kurask.2
- The full Kurask task gave 650k gp according to RuneLite plus seven crystal shards worth another 100k, for a total of 750k.3
Tips
- For Kurask the leaf-bladed battleaxe is the only unique item; Bandos can be downgraded to fighter torso and obsidian legs, primordial boots to dragon boots, ferocious gloves to Barrows gloves, and torture to fury.4
- Gnomonkey brings a Saradomin godsword on Kurask even though it does not damage them, because it still restores prayer and health based on what would have been hit; the same applies to any stat-restoring special like the blowpipe.5
- Gnomonkey likes to finish Kurask tasks in a single trip, bringing two divine super combats, ten prayer potions and two sharks, because their drops cannot fit in a bloated inventory with just two divine super combats.5
- The best place to fight Kurask is Prifddinas, in the Iorwerth Dungeon, where they have a fairly common crystal shard drop that boosts average GP a kill from 4768 to 5454.6
- Without Prifddinas unlocked, Kurask can be fought in the Relleka Slayer Dungeon, but Gnomonkey recommends finishing Song of the Elves if the player already has the stats.7
- Gnomonkey finds Woox's aggression plugin really useful for making the Kurask task more AFK.7
