Requirements

  • To train on sulphur nagas you need to have completed the Moons of Peril quest, killing all the moons.1
  • The hard requirements are the Moons of Peril quest and about 48 Slayer, and a soft requirement of 55 Herblore.1

Methods

  • In Moons of Peril there is a circle icon you follow around the moons and stay inside; outside the circle you take constant damage that ramps up to 16s, which will kill you.2
  • Every moon attack swings three times (three hit splats) and checks accuracy for each; if any splat misses, the later splats are zero, and the third splat maxes twice as high (20 instead of 10) and carries the ramping curse.3
  • Step-unders: you cannot be attacked by the moon if you step under it, so by clicking under the moon when its animation starts the third hit splat can never hit you.4

Tips

  • Because the sulphur nagas are in the Moons area you have unlimited supplies, since you make your own potions there.5
  • Shield flicking helps a lot at Moons for roughly 20% less damage taken, and a default RuneLite plugin tracks your curse value.4
  • To eat after every rotation of the moons, and to check whether you have enough food and potions for the next three moons when you reach Blue Moon's campsite.6

Events

  • The Moons of Peril ranged boss adds a new tank ring so players going for a rune crossbow can get it without needing to visit Dagannoth Rex first.7
  • The number of tornadoes is reduced for Blue Moon.8
  • The Granite ring gets dramatically better stats; Gnomonkey notes someone told him the listed stats were a typo of the current stats.8
