Update: Tombs of Amascut changes is an update topic that Gnomonkey covers in 3 videos between 2025-06-22 and 2025-06-25. This article is a stub: his statements are grouped by type, repeated ones merged.

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says that for probably over 90% of players the upcoming Toa changes (from the Summer Sweep-up) are a dramatic improvement, speeding up raids and giving even more loot.1
  • Gnomonkey says the changes remove about half of his roughly 200 tile markers for Toa flaws outside the raid, and address almost all his problems with the raid.2
  • Gnomonkey says players should wait for the update rather than push Toa now, noting the update arrives in a few days and that he is waiting on his hardcore account since the changes lower risk.3
  • Gnomonkey says the Toa changes update that arrived in June 2025 made the raid dramatically easier with multiple rooms much easier, and calls the Akkha change the biggest.4
  • Gnomonkey says that so far the update is very solid and Toa does not feel like a slog, especially in lower tier gear, and that he will make a lot of updated guides.5
  • In the description Gnomonkey says shadow is still best in slot at Akkha but Bofa, ZCB, Atlatl and other crossbows now work, never a twisted bow, and that a 500 Toa is now very achievable with Bofa or budget gear.6

Events

  • He will make a suite of refresher guides after the update, including 300s with different gear setups, new 500 guides, and guides for other Summer Sweep-up changes such as Phantom Muspah elemental reworks and possibly Cerberus.7
  • The June 2025 Tombs of Amascut changes made Ba-Ba no longer hit through prayer and many rooms much easier, with Akkha the biggest change for raids according to Gnomonkey.8
