Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says the Summer Sweep-up is one of the few updates he has literally zero qualms with: every change is good and many massive problems he has with the game are being fixed.1
  • Gnomonkey says this is potentially the best QOL change ever made to the game, and that he wants to clear out about half his teleflaws (tile/mechanic notes) because so many problems are being fixed.2
  • Gnomonkey says the update covers every pain point he has with the game and feels like Jagex was listening to him.3
  • Gnomonkey says that for a long time high-level players' complaints felt ignored as a small part of the player base, but lately the team has been hitting those pain points, including the Yama contract changes.3

Events

  • Jagex published the Summer Sweep-up combat and loot blog, a large quality-of-life update scheduled to arrive in a couple of months from late May 2025.10
  • Jagex said it will share a detailed blog the following week on everything it is eyeing for the Summer Sweep-up, saying it was inundated with player suggestions and a good number are already on its shortlist.11
  • The Summer Sweep-up will include changes to various skilling methods, including long overdue improvements to core Hunter training, gear rebalancing focused on buffing items not living up to their potential, improvements to common PvM pain points like the Corrupted Gauntlet, and new Agility shortcuts and improvements to existing ones.12
  • In the video, Jagex said there will be big Agility changes in the Summer Sweep-up, including changing Hallowed Sepulchre requirements, improving the AFK of the Colossal Wyrm course, and adding new shortcuts.13
  • Jagex did not mention Corrupted Gauntlet drop rate changes but said it will make massive improvements to Gauntlet prep.6
