Contents

Requirements

  • When creating a Group Ironman group, the game warns that group members cannot be changed for a while after finalising, and that inviting more members will cause the group to lose its hardcore and prestige status.1
  • Per the description, Gnomonkey says he needs 75 Ranged and some Magic levels so the group can use thralls, and that they would be sending the Colosseum within a week.2

Tips

  • Gnomonkey's description says viewers who want a more daily-progress approach should watch the stream, and that videos will return when he preps for PvM progression.3

Gnomonkey's opinion

  • Gnomonkey says there is no chance the group will last very long as a group hardcore.4
  • Gnomonkey says he does not mind early game Ironman and would rather be doing endgame content, but is excited to approach Inferno and Chambers of Xeric in a different, actually difficult way compared to his usual chance-every-hit approach.5
  • Gnomonkey says the group's own paths include Tasty doing Hunter rumours for the rest of the team.6
  • Gnomonkey says the problem with playing a hardcore account is that when content is boring your brain shuts off, you stop paying attention, and then you die.7

Events

  • After losing all lives in a previous group hardcore attempt (referred to as Monkey Manus 1), Gnomonkey starts a group Hardcore Ironman progression series on YouTube and says speedrun content is being shelved for now.3
  • He is now an Ironman streamer and will remake the hardcore group every time the group dies.3
  • The group has five members: Gnomonkey, Tasty, Tpapa, Jessie and saebae, as stated in the video description.3
  • Per the video description, Gnomonkey plans to make videos of select difficult challenges the group overcomes rather than overall progress, since the first few days are the same as any starting account with lots of questing and AFK grinds.3
  • The group discussed forfeits for whoever loses the first life: one suggestion was a tribunal where members submit punishments and need a three-fifths majority agreement.8
  • The group name Big Dogs was already taken, so the team created the group as Big Dogs V1.1
  • Another forfeit suggestion discussed for the first death was 12 hours of Sandstone mining; the forfeit was still undecided and no one had died yet.9
  • The Fire cape was obtained by the Big Dawgs V1 group hardcore ironman team, with Tpapa and Tasty also due to do Monkey Madness that day.10
  • Tpapa was on board with the PvP world Fight Caves trick instantly and that the team will probably also do it.11
  • In the video description Gnomonkey says the group spent a couple of weeks grinding Barrows for tank top and bottom to move on to Perilous Moons, where they were spooned an Atlatl and a Blood moon chestplate.2
  • Per the video description, the group lost a life near the end of the week when Gnomonkey's internet disconnected for 14 hours and he had no teleport crystal; he says Scurrius has taken another homie.2
  • Gnomonkey recounts that the group storage was emptied after Sebe received roughly 20 gifted subs to remove everything from it, and that he then put about 20% of it back, so it is almost where it was.12
  • At the start of the Perilous Moons section of the stream a hardcore death occurs and the group's count is given as three out of five remaining; it is repeated at the end of the stream.13
