Summary
Gnomonkey attempts the Infinite Jad challenge in Leagues 6: Demonic Pacts, aiming for more than 1,000 Jad kills in a row using a Thorns and blind bag tank build. After roughly 15 serious attempts he reaches 1,000 and keeps going until he dies. He says it was the hardest challenge he has ever done.

Topics covered
Infinite Jad
- (0:00) Gnomonkey does a 1,000 Jad challenge in Leagues 6: Demonic Pacts, using the Infinite Jad Challenge, which contains all 6 Jads.
- (0:00) In the main game the Jads attack 8 ticks apart with a 2-tick break at the end of their rotation cycle, while the Jads in the Infinite Jad Challenge are in a rapid, continuous cycle with no breaks and no catching up.
- (0:00) In Leagues there is a game mode for 1 to 6 Jads plus the Infinite Jad Challenge with all 6 Jads, meaning the player must flick prayers against 6 Jads non-stop for hours.
- (0:07) Gnomonkey says it took him probably around 15 serious attempts, not counting time spent fiddling with timers and settings, to nail the 1,000 Jad run.
- (0:31) Gnomonkey does not look at each Jad individually. He camps Protect from Missiles by default, and when a Jad stands up to attack he times a mage swap for that attack and swaps back, so he only has to pay attention to roughly half of the Jad attacks.
- (1:03) Purespam held the Infinite Jad record at 778 Jads, which took two and a half hours.
- (1:03) Gnomonkey estimated that reaching 1,000 Jads would take him roughly over three and a half hours.
- (6:46) Gnomonkey calls the 1,000 Jad run by far the hardest challenge he has ever done, harder than Pillarless Coliseum, Solo Hard Mode Theatre of Blood and any world first race, and describes it as mental anguish.
- (7:04) Gnomonkey reached 1,000 Jads in a row and kept going until he died.
- (9:52) Gnomonkey died before reaching 1,250 Jads, and chat then named 1,174 as the score for Purespam to beat.
Leagues 6: Demonic Pacts
- (0:00) In Leagues 6: Demonic Pacts there are self-imposed challenges players can do, and Gnomonkey chooses killing 1,000 Jads in a row.
- (0:00) In the Leagues Discord there is a prize for the most Jads killed, but Gnomonkey is disqualified because he joined after Leagues had started.
- (1:38) Gnomonkey says he originally planned to go Thorns build to mess around with things after he finished having fun with blind bag in Leagues.
- (1:38) Gnomonkey did not go into any mage for this run because he lacks the regions that would be best for this challenge; he says ideally a water mage tank build would kill the Jads faster.
- (2:36) In Leagues 6 the tier 8 relic Minion is the only relic Gnomonkey considers relevant to the Infinite Jad run, as the minion can automatically tag most of the healers.
- (6:46) In the Leagues 6 Infinite Jad run, 39,470 total Leagues points (toggle reward) were rewarded after completing it.
- (6:46) At the rate of this run, Gnomonkey says he would only need to kill 26 hours of Jads to get his onyx.
Dinh's bulwark
- (1:38) Den's bulwark is unique because it is the only two-handed shield that you can attack with.
- (1:38) Because Den's bulwark is a two-handed shield you can attack with, Gnomonkey could safely use it with both blind bag and Thorns without his shield being taken off randomly, as would happen with a one-handed weapon.
- (2:54) When four or more healers are touching Jad, he out-heals Thorns damage and stays at permanent full health, so Gnomonkey runs up and uses the Den's bulwark special attack to tag the stragglers stuck behind Jad and bring him down.
Thorns
- (1:38) Gnomonkey's Infinite Jad build uses Thorns damage reflection with Blood fury so that he heals based on the Thorns damage reflected, giving the build massive sustain.
- (3:31) In the Infinite Jad run the Thorns reflect drains Blood fury charges rapidly, about five charges per second, so one Blood fury was not enough and Gnomonkey packed three.
- (4:01) Gnomonkey says that although Thorns lets you AFK almost every other boss, Jads attack too fast and too hard for him to constantly out-heal them, so he still has to pray.
- (4:01) Gnomonkey says 1,777 bones were collected by the minion from all the healers killed by Thorns during the run.
- (4:30) Gnomonkey says water magic has better healing but much worse defence, and he does not think even that would be enough to just camp a prayer against Infinite Jad.
Blood fury
- (1:38) With the Blood fury, Gnomonkey heals based on the Thorns damage reflected during the Infinite Jad run.
- (4:01) Blood fury drains about five charges per second from all the Thorns damage in the Infinite Jad run, so Gnomonkey brought three of them.
- (6:57) In total 26 blood shards were used for the Infinite Jad effort, with six full shards used during the actual run.
Blind bag
- (1:38) Gnomonkey used Den's bulwark because it can be used with both blind bag and Thorns without the shield being taken off randomly.
- (3:31) Clicking your special attack as a blind bag weapon is pulled takes your shield off and keeps you on the weapon pulled out for the blind bag proc, which disabled Thorns during blind bag chains and caused Gnomonkey to die in an early attempt.
- (4:01) To avoid the blind bag special attack bug, Gnomonkey primes the special attack on a new Jad every time, or very carefully clicks the spec button after he has already swung his shield.
Jad healers
- (2:36) The tier 8 Minion relic sometimes cannot tag the healers because it only attacks the ones near Jad's southwest corner.
- (2:54) When four or more healers are touching Jad, he out-heals Thorns damage and will permanently be at full health.
- (3:04) If Gnomonkey did not quickly deal with the stuck healers, all but one Jad he is attacking would have infinite health from the healers and the challenge would slow to a crawl.
- (3:04) Gnomonkey used entity hiding on the healers to reduce mental noise, because their animations are so distracting and he is not going to tag them anyway.
- (3:04) In early attempts Gnomonkey tried to tag the Jads' healers with the Lithic Scepter, which ran him out of runes and charges, so he stopped doing that and just did not use the spec swap because swapping to a shield and staff as items move around the inventory was not worth it.
Jad survival and Jad prayer flicking
- (2:07) Gnomonkey's tank gear brings the Jad ranged hit accuracy down to only 60% and reduces its damage by 15%.
- (2:07) Jad's mage hits are basically guaranteed and still do the full max hit of 113, so any two Jad hits in a row are a chance of death, and if both are mage hits the run is likely over.
- (2:07) Gnomonkey's build has a max health pool of 188 to withstand a mist prayer, but even so a single second of concentration loss is enough to instantly end the run.
- (5:01) Dropping below 80 HP in the Infinite Jad run is almost a death sentence, as the healers can start to chance Gnomonkey and drop him as low as 6 HP.
- (5:01) Gnomonkey's motto is that if you have the choice between healing and killing the boss, kill the boss, because the more Jads are dead the easier it is to recover and refocus after a critical error.
- (5:01) When he got off cycle, Gnomonkey camped Protect from Magic until the next mage Jad hit, then got back into the flow.
- (5:27) Gnomonkey counted roughly 20 times in the run that he took two or more Jad hits in a row, and says a single Jad hit is completely safe even if it is the full 113.
Gnomonkey
- (1:03) Gnomonkey says challenges that require six-hour logs, like Doom Wave Rack, are not his strong suit, and that he much prefers speedruns or world first races.
- (1:03) Gnomonkey says he can lock in for 40 minutes for an Inferno speedrun, but four hours of constant one-tick prayer swaps is not his strong suit.
- (4:30) For the Infinite Jad run Gnomonkey streamed without a face cam for the first time ever; he says he has literally never done a stream without cam, and planned just one attempt and then to end the stream.
- (5:37) In the final five Jads, Gnomonkey's cat Raddy tried to jump in his lap, because he was not talking and the cat thought he was done with work.
- (5:51) During the run Gnomonkey listened to roughly 30 different SCP videos to keep from getting bored.
Purespam
- (0:00) Gnomonkey gives a shoutout to Purespam as the previous and future Infinite Jad record holder.
- (0:38) Purespam showed off clearing six or seven Jads, joked that Gnomonkey was next, and suggested he try the Infinite Jad challenge.
- (1:03) Purespam's Infinite Jad record was 778 Jads, taking two and a half hours, according to a screenshot he sent Gnomonkey.
Lithic Scepter
- (3:04) Gnomonkey's first attempts struggled partly because he tried to tag the healers with the Lithic Scepter, and he ran out of runes and charges.
- (3:31) Gnomonkey decided swapping to a shield and staff as they move around the inventory when supplies are used was not worth it, and stopped using the Lithic Scepter for tagging.
Echo boots
- (6:57) In the 1,000 Jad run Gnomonkey used 1,369 Echo boot charges, and notes the boots only use one charge every four ticks.
